Business Week Workload Tab Memory Demand 100%

Hello

We recently have upgraded to vRealize Operations Manager version 7.

There is a "new widget" what is called Business Week Workload (used to be called stress) where you can see the hotspots on a particular object, host, vm, resource pool.

We noticed that on 90% of our virtual machines (+- 500), the memory demand is constantly at 100%. This causes that the business week workload view is completely red as you can see in attached print screens.

We compared the memory demand with the stats from vCenter and we see also the consumed host memory is constantly at 100%.

As a test we created a vm with 80GB of memory and we run a memory stress test tool in the vm -> the host consumed goes to 100% and also the memory demand & usage in vRops.

When we stop the test, memory usage in the vm drops to +- 2GB. but the vm consumed in vcenter and memory demand in vRops remains at 100%.

Anyone else having this phenonoma, or can explain me why this is happening like this?
it makes the workload view rather useless in this way

Having the same problem, I'm pretty sure the we have solved it now by following the solution provided in the following KB - Memory Usage % Metric may show much higher than the guest OS utilization in vRealize Operations Mana....
