Tried doing this via a PATCH (/iaas/api/machines/) to the cloudConfig custom property but it seems that the UI in Cloud Assembly\Service Broker is pulling it from bootConfig for display.
Coming from 7.6 we are used to the end user not seeing the custom properties. Not adverse to them seeing most properties especially as the machine level doesn't put the size information up front like in 7.6 (we aren't tied in to vROPS just yet so perhaps that give a better look at the machine size). However, we do not want them to see the cloud-init information in the Cloud Config section.
At compute.provision.post is there a way to blank out that section? Long term we should be able to get away from cloud-init but for now we need to use it to replace the GuestAgent.
