Office 2007 various issues

I have been playing with ThinApp 4.0.2 and 4.0.3 versions attempting to Office 2007 for our office. I have followed step-by-step instructions listed on the how to ThinApp O2K7 to the T and even tried various other ways that where not listed. I have used a vm test machine that is "clean" with Windows XP SP2. It worked fine in the virtual desktops I have setup (with or without Office 2003 installed) but as soon as I move it to a physical test or production machine I see the following issues (with Office 2003 installed locally). First off often I get various MSI Installer error that display in the event viewer and also the installer sometimes will show up while using the program. This wouldn't be such a problem if it wouldnt keep happening sometimes at random when using the program. Also when I launch Word it sometimes will raise my CPU utilization to 50% when I try and type anything and then lockup for anywhere around 1 minute to 5 minutes. Another problem I have run into is the Office button sometimes will not work in some builds and work fine in others not sure why this is happening. One last question is how do we change the default directory in which the MSI file will be installed to, I have looked in the package.ini file but I do not see anything listed for giving the option of what drive letter you wish to install by default.

Here is a listing of my event IDs I have been running into:

Event ID 1001 MSIinstaller

Detection of product '{90120000-0030-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}', feature 'WORDFiles' failed during request for component '{0638C49D-BB8B-4CD1-B191-051E8F325736}'

Event ID 1004 MsiInstaller

Detection of product '{90120000-0030-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}', feature 'ProductFiles', component '{7830F9B8-C2AF-43F0-C01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}' failed. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 0, Microsoft Office Word, 12.0.6425.1000, 12.0.6425.1000.

Event ID 1015 MsiInstaller

Failed to connect to server. Error: 0x800401FE

I am only attempting to install Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.

Any input would help. I have looked through this entire forum and tried various suggestions that were mentioned and none have worked or helped.
