I was able to get Docker up and running and open an instance of Azure Edge going. I'm not quite sure what to do on the Windows side to get SQL connected with the SQL server on the Mac. Any additional detail there would be appreciated. Thanks again!

It would help me to know why it was being placed in the spam folder. I wrote the same post a few times, and all of them must have dropped into spam. I could see them under my listing of subscriptions and deleted the duplicative ones there.

Was something wrong with the way I composed the messages?

Not sure if this is where I should ask this so I apologize if I'm in the wrong area.

My posts/questions within the Fusion and Fusion>Discussions areas are not being included in the listing of posts. After I compose and then post the question, I do get the page showing the post and it's destination. I can also see the post within my listing of subscriptions. However the post does not become included in the community listing of posts, so it does not get responses.

What am I doing wrong?

Need help installing SQL Server Express 2017 on Windows 11 (M1 Mac)

I am running Windows 11 Pro 22H2 OS build 22621.1265 on a Macbook Pro M1. I'm trying to install software that uses SQL Server Express 2017. During the install I get the error "Failed to install SQL Server: Error 0x876E0003"

I also tried to do the installation of SQL directly from the Microsoft SQL server download site. I get the same error.

Has anyone successfully installed SQL Server Express 2017 on an M1 machine?

Yes that did it! Once I updated to the latest Windows 11 build the .NET Framework 3.5 installed just fine. Thanks very much!

Now onto another problem. I will start a new thread for that...

@Technogeezer I am using OS Build 22598.1 of Windows 11 Pro. And yes I've attempted to install .NET 3.5 from within Windows (Windows Features control panel) and also via the offline installer. Both methods result with the same error code (0x800F0950) during the download. Heck, even the NET Framework Repair Tool can't get it working. Interestingly, .NET 4.8 looks to be running fine.

I also agree that this is not a Fusion issue, but rather something inherent to the ARM version of Windows. I figured someone here may have had the same problem and found the golden key, but that seems not to have been the case.

ColoradoMarmot were you able to get Net Framework 3.5 working on your machine? Arm version? I'm struggling here trying to get that version of Net Framework working on my M1 (Windows 11). Any suggestions appreciated.

Fusion 13 - Where is the setting for Shared Folders?

Running Window 11 64-bit Arm on MBP M1. All runs fine but no shared folder with the Mac. The Virtual Machines settings panel does not have a Sharing setting.

How can I establish a shared folder from my Mac to Windows under Fusion 13?

Applications visible in Applications Menu

I have Fusion 3.1 on my mac running Windows XP, and when attempting to add applications visible under the Applications Menu ("Applications Menu Settings : Applications Menu : + button"), my choice is limited - not all of my applications are available on this list. I am able to navigate and launch my other applications using the "All Programs >" item, but that's tedious and I'd rather select them directly by placing them in the Applications Menu.

Any ideas on how I can do this?
