I contacted VMware support and was told I would have to pay to have support fix that issue\bug and otherwise to eff off to the community forum for help here yippee ki yay!

17.0.2 seems the last good version for me. Sadly, looks like VMware Workstation is joining the ranks of apps and companies acquired by Boradcom going down the drain. R.I.P VMware after all those years

WOW unbelievable 17.5.0 broke all if my VMs. I tried reinstalling like four times, tried to remove the keyboard driver but the issue is not just the keyboard. Everything stops and freezes, all my Linux VMs are dead. Is there an official fix form VMware or all is downhill now with Boradcom? Pretty sad and disappointing.

VMware Workstation Pro Keyboard Issue in Kali VM intermitten

Hi, I am running Kali Linux 2022 VM on my Windows 11 VMware Workstation Pro 17. I lose all the time keyboard controll on the login screen. I tried many things, reinstalling vm tools, enhancing keyboard, upgrading keyboard drivers and I still have the issue. I can enter grub on boot but when I am at logon screen no keyboard just mouse. Any ideas or fixes you may know could solve that problem?
