I'm trying to figure out a way around this but it is frustrating when you sell management on an idea and you get this type of information.

I have the Cisco Management Pack installed and it pulls the UCSM domain information. However, vROPs does not pull the Blade name blade name. It gives the default sys/chassis-3/blade-2. The fabric interconnects do the same thing. I know for the ports you can use the user labels. However, user label is not available under Fabric Interconnect.

Is there a way to have an alert but do not trigger if the host or VM is powered off?

I can add to the symptom that the host or VM has to equal powered on but that is a lot of work.

Is there a way I can do it without having to edit all the symptoms and update the alerts?

Custom group of VMs from clusters

vROPs 8.6

I have a VC with 10 clusters. I want to create a custom group that list all the VMs in the clusters based on the cluster name.

Example cluster name is

MY-VM-Cluster-WIN

MY-VM-Cluster-LIN1

MY-VM-Cluster-LIN1

The group would say contains LIN and it would list all of the VMs in the cluster. Then I want to create a view based on this group.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
