Mouse Cursor Problems Using Horizon VMWare with a Mac

Mouse cursor lags terribly, sometimes as much as 2-4 seconds, and during highlighting with the mouse there is marked overshoot (highlights much more than is desired). Have changed the mouse to a new one: no change. Dumped VMWare and reinstalled the same version: same problem. Restarted the Mac: no change.

In the attached video, you can see the cursor moving, yet the mouse was motionless, while it is catching up.

Using Mac OS v 12.1, VMWare Horizon 8 client 2111, gigabit download speed, 36 Mb/s upload speed, Mac Pro (2019) 3.5 GHz 8-core Intel Xeon W, 96 Gb 2666 MHz DDR4, AMD Radeon Pro 580X 8Gb graphics card, three displays.
