Hello,

I have several DVS on my vCenter and I tried to create a VM attached to DVS's port group(dviportgroup-1234) via REST(apiexplorer) but failed with the error:

Distributed port group with identifier 'dviportgroup-1234:1234abcd-1234-4321-1234-4321bcda1234' not accessible

If I put incorrect port group name I got an error that port group not found.

In the error message the port group name dviportgroup-1234 has a something like UUID after the colon. It looks like vCenter added it. May be this value is incorrect in some way?

New VM created Ok if I set a standalone switch instead of DVS for REST(apiexplorer).

Also it works fine if I use vCenter WEB interface to create a VM and attach it to the same DVS port group.

Where to look at the vCenter to fix this issue? Maybe some kind of permissions?

Hello

I have a standalone server with a lot of internal hard drives, for example, 8. So, I need to install a ESXi to it and make a VMFS disk partitioning. I need to use RAID1 for data redundancy. So, what is the best partitioning layout in this case?
