New VUM Xtra Module for Baseline Group Management, ISO Import and More

Hi Folks,

As we know the suit of cmdlets for VUM automation is a little bit sparse and missing a lot of functionality. I've done a lot of work in this area and finally got around to publishing a module that adds the following cmdlets:

Attach-BaselineGroup

Attach-BaselineToGroup

Detach-BaselineGroup

Get-BaselineGroup

Get-HostImages

Import-VUMContent

New-BaselineGroup

New-ImageBaseline

Remediate-BaselineGroup

Remove-BaselineFromGroup

Remove-BaselineGroup

Thought i'd share as I see this asked for a lot.

I've kicked off a new blog with an article on it, check it out and let me know what you think:

https://thedotsource.com

Happy VUM'ing

Re: Import host patches into Update Manager

I got patches and images importing on 6.5. Upload your patch or image to /storage/updatemgr/patch-store-temp/ on the VCSA appliance, then use this as the source path for your file in your script, rather than the local path.

Re: Powershell Script to install VUM 6.0?

I wrestled with the same issue for a while and discovered that the parameter VMUM_SERVER_SELECT must be specified or you get this error. Although the GUI pre-populates this field when removing the /qr switch, whatever automated method is being used does not.
