You've got a script or process somewhere (internally or externally) that's calling for a graceful shutdown. Where that's occurring, no idea, but that appears to be what's happening. This doesn't look like ESXi is just suddenly deciding to go to bed.

Yes, I'm sure that one vCenter will not properly manage hosts spread across the planet. It's not a question of licensing but of how well management will work. The only vCenter license you need (for one seat) is vCenter Standard.

When you use vSphere with Tanzu, it's an opinionated stack and, as such, won't allow you to turn all the knobs. If that's something you want to be able to do, then TKG multi-cloud (AKA "standalone") gives you those controls.

This doesn't sound like anything having to do with either the Host Client (where you posted this message) or ESXi in general (the product in use). This sounds like a general networking issue on your side, so check all the standard things like subnet, route tables, etc. If this is on unsupported hardware (using an officially unsupported NIC), that's also a possibility.

My recommendation would be to take your SR number and talk to your TAM (if applicable) or your account manager and get some visibility. This doesn't sound like a "proper" response from GSS and sounds like an enhancement is needed in the product. Shopping that SR around internally is a good way to publicize it for resolution.

Aside from the CIM providers (in these vendor-customized ESXi images), there's really not. All these vendors do different things and use different machinery for these checks, which is why something like Proactive HA is created and depends on a vendor-specific provider.

vCHA is not really used to do what you're intending because of its strict latency requirements. You also require a private network which must be on the same segment. If you don't have this, and if your latency requirements don't match, it won't work.
