Hello,

I would like to access our NSX-T Manager with via API (Postman).
While doing this I notice access is only granted when using a local username like admin.
Our Authentication to the managers is done via VIDM - LDAP. If I login to the GUI everything works fine while using my windows username.
But this user/authentication doesn't work while using an API call
The output on postman is:
HTTPS Code 403
Warning: Self signed certificate in certificate chain

Any help?

Udo

When you still use NSX-T only for the DFW it is still not necessary to change the MTU to 1700. But anyway it is recommended for a long-term plan. Maybe if an overlay will later implemented.

regards

Udo

After a while I got an unexpected error. This happens every time even if the ile was uploaded or pasted as raw text into postman.

I use postman version 9.24.0

Any idea what can be the problem?

Udo

The values are:

Username: xxx

Password: xxx

baseUrl: xxx

When I access the Controller manually the values are working. If I try to make a request (for example):

{{baseUrl}}/node/services/syslog/status

and set the Authorization to Type "Inherit auth from parent" I got a status 403 forbidden.

But when I set the Type to Basic Auth with the same values, the request work.

Also another problem while using the LDAP password (authentication via VIDM):

The request works only with the local username.

NSX-T Version: 3.1.2.1.2.18166854

Any help?

Kind Regards

Udo
