      <description>&lt;P&gt;I came across this thread when faced with the same issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you log directly into the web interface of the host - not via vCenter - then you can create a standard switch with a custom name.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can then configure it as you like from vCenter.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
