Unfortunately, the issue is not addressed with the release 8.0.2.00100 build 22617221.

Issue is planned to be addressed in future release.

There is no solution for the issue encountered and is limited to certain specific HW listed in the KB.

Only option for now is to deploy vCenter 80U2 on an alternate HW .

Something more to do with either media. Can you check if the downloaded ISO has the proper checksum?

Without logs hard to provide any good pointer to resolve the issue.

Is it possible to attach the logs ?

Once you reboot the machine, log into the ESXi console and look for the log file with name "vua-X.log.gz" under the dir /var/log/ , extract the gz files and locate the file containing the error "AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'id'.

you may need to log into the vcenter appliance through VM console as the SSH is not working for you.

Please use a standard NTP server to avoid such time issues going forward. And make sure to set every entity (ESXi hosts, vCenter & AD etc) in the environment to use same NTP server.

Once the time related issues are resolved, then proceed with the all of the steps as mentioned by Jordon in comment# Re: Can't sign into VCSA with AD credentials .

Once after joining the domain, vCenter server may needs to be restarted, please do so.

Could you please confirm what was the hostname.. was it localhost or some other name resolved by local DNS.

What is the build of vCSA 6.5 you are using.
