Thanks!. I know nothing about Linux. I had tried vi /etc/hostname but I guess that was to edit the name.

I'm new to this and am unfamiliar with linux. A co-worker set up the first vMA. I'm setting up the second. I input the IP numbers and it's asking for the Host name [localhost]. I'm not sure what to put in. So i'm trying to look up what he used. I did ask him and he said to see what he put in the one he set up.

Is there a way for me to lookup the host name / localhost is?

I'm using version 4.1

Sorry if I'm sounding a little dim... well... maybe a lot dim.

But does this apply if the ESXi servers are attached to different UPS devices? If so how do I configure it?

We have three ESXi 4.1 servers. On one of them I have vMA 4.1 and PCNS 3.01 to shut down that server.

Must I install vMA and PCNS on each of the remaining ESXi servers or can I control each of the ESXi servers thru the one vMA nd PCNS? If so how would I do that?
