Ah, gotcha. Yes, it does look like an issue based on a testbed I just looked at moments ago.

Assuming VCF 4.1 and later, If vRealize Automation is deployed in "vcf-mode" from a vRSLCM instance managed by SDDC Manager and where vRealize Log Insight is already deployed and managed, then vRealize Automation is automatically configured to send logs to vRealize Log Insight Cluster over TCP 9000 - essentially it uses the "vracli vrli set" to configure Fluentd to send the logs over the unencrypted path.

You can use the PowerValidatedSolutions module to return the status of the configuration or set it, too, after deployment.

Typically, tasks are SKIPPED if a task it's dependent on has FAILED. From your screenshot we only see those that are SKIPPED. Consider filtering the STATUS to determine which dependency failed.

VMware Cloud Foundation is greenfield only and can not be installed ontop of a pre-existing vSphere deployment.

These are created as vector files with which we export the PNG files you see in the official documentation.

We have recently launched VMware Validated Solutions – a vetted portfolio of technical validated solutions focused on targeted use cases, designed to help customers build efficient infrastructure for their applications and workloads deployed on VMware Cloud Foundation.

Each VMware Validated Solution is fully validated by expert VMware solution architects and can be deployed out of the box with VMware Cloud Foundation. Each solution includes detailed design with design decisions, implementation procedures, and, where applicable, automated steps using infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or PowerShell, and operational guidance. These solutions also include a Time-to-Deploy value that provides an estimated time to deploy the solution, helping VI admins and architects to plan and deploy the solution.

Access VMware Validated Solutions on core.vmware.com, corresponding Terraform code samples on GitHub, and install PowerValidatedSolutions PowerShell module from the PS Gallery to get started. You can access Frequently Asked Questions here.

We have another solution focusing on Site Protection and Disaster Recovery releasing in the next few weeks.

Each vRealize Operations Remote Collector (default == small) in the design uses 274GB of strorage.

Disk 01 = 20 GB
Disk 02 = 250GB
Disk 03 = 4GB

My suggestion is to use a complex password generator or validate complexity prior to deployment.

Re: VCF or VVD BOM - Source of Truth

It's important to understand the distinction between the BOM in a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) release and a VMware Validated Design (VVD) release.

As of VVD 6.0, it includes VCF 4.0. From that point, the BOM in the VVD may extend past the base of VCF. For example, VCF 4.0.0/4.0.1 does not include the specific vRealize Suite product versions since it's not automate/integrated at this time; however, this is in the VVD 6.0.0/6.0.1 BOM. A future release of of VCF may not include specific vRealize Suite management/content packs however the VVD does.

Let's say, for example, that what if the next release of the VVD included vRealize Network Insight 5.3 (vRNI) along with Architecture+Design and Deployment Guidance but it was not a core part of the VCF BOM (yes, it's in the SKU). Then vRNI would be a part of the VVD BOM but not the baseline VCF BOM. Another example is that VVD 6.0.1 includes Red Hat OpenShift WLD A+D and Deployment Guidnance - this is part of the VVD BOM, not the VCF baseline BOM. The point is, that the VVD extends upon the baseline VCF BOM.

The VMware Validated Design envineering is authoring complete guidance for the shutdown and startup of the entire SDDC management and workload domains.

Once completed, this will be posted to the Solution Operations Guides.

Today, it is comparable but there are specific methods that should be followed for Workspace ONE Access, vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations, and vSphere w/ K8s + TKG.
