Unable to Create Virtual machine

I am trying to P2V of Linux RHEL 5 running with SAN boot . But getting an error " Unable to create Virtual machine ".How to fix this issue and how to complete P2V .please suggest .

(Converter standalone 5.5 , vCenter is 5.5 ,Host is 5.5 versions .)

The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address " certificate is not trusted site " etc. how to fix this . i am running with VMware self signed certificates.as of now.

i want to replave VMware self signed certificate with my company self signed . how to do that .Please help

VM port state shows blocked

I have host connected with nexus 1000v switch .Its newly configured hosts ,when i migrate VM to this host i am not able ping host via IP or host name. when i checked networking vLan port status shows blocked .But i can see other VM's running on same vLan .what might be the cause and how to fix .

i have deployed VM (2008 standard R2 sp1 64 bit) from a template .when i power its fails to boot ,so i went from command 'msoobe' ,then i see attached screenshot .I agreed license and rebooted ,VM was booted successfully .

now i wan to know whats the issue how to fix this in template so that next time will not receive this error

I have template win server 2008 standard R2(64-bit) ,when i deply VM from that template VM is not booting facing below attached issues .Need help how to resolve ASAP.

I did hit on ok on ok button as per attach number 1 ,then it will reboot and came with issue(attach no 2)

i have two clusters in data center.One cluster is running with HP proliant DL series servers and the other cluster(destination ) is running with cisco B series blades (both are intel processors) ..i have enabled EVC still i cant to live migration .

any suggestions.

we have environment running with ESXi 5.1 .

Cluster is running with Standard switch ,now i want to migrate it to Dv switch ,for the same i have created DV switch and tried migrating standard switch network ,but its got failed and loosing connection from vCenter .But able to migrate kernal and vMotion network.Only management network only not migrating .We are not using any vlan from physical switch side only ,not in ESXi server .we made as trunk but still no use.

can anyone suggest what would be the best way to migrate standard switch to Dv switch ? was that required down time ? was there anyway to migrate without effecting VM's functionality (i mean without down time)

i have a cluster running with dvswitch (two physical adapters and two up links ) .Now i want to create nexus 1000v dv switch in the same cluster .is it possible to create two dv switches in same cluster .If yes how to migrate running vm's from dv switch to nexus dv switch ? what will be effect ?

2.can i create two clusters connected with one dv switch (same manament ,vlan ,kernals will be used for both clusters ).

Host not able to ping by IP or Hostname

Q1)i have two clusters in one data center. cluster one is running on vlan 222 and its ip range .cluster two is running with vlan 245 and its IP range.Now i have completely decommissioned cluster one from v center.And then renamed ,re-IPd those hosts to vlan 245 and its IP range (that is cluster two range ).DNS entry also done. when i tried to ping renamed or re-IPd hosts , am not able to ping .whats the reason ?

Both cluster hosts are Cisco servers and configured on diffrent Nexus 1000v switch .Is that some thing that need to add physical server to vLan 245 ? or host was not release from old IP range ? whats the reason ,why hosts were not able to ping .?

Q2) we have recently upgraded to ESXi 5.1 after upgrading we are getting an issue hosts offen disconnects from vcenter .I will have to manually re-connect hosts back to vcenter .why its happening like this ?No error found in logs ? any idea ?

For all VM's

source and destination vlan id number is same but the given name is different for (managment ,kernal,vlans)

source vlan name is n1k-ipc-xx and destination name is n1k-bgr-xx was this causing issue ?

we are running with vcenter 5.1 esxi 5.1 vesrion . there are two clusters in a datacenter .two clusters configured on different dv switches. (same vlans ,management networks,kernal networks ,switch version etc)

now when i tried to migrate VM's from cluster to other cluster giving error saying "currently connected network interface network adapter1 uses network dv switch (uuid xxxxxxx); which is not accessble "

only cold migration is working . seems there was not communication between two switches ,.Now if i want to perform hot migration between two clusters what i neeed to do ? what are the possible ways ? is it possible or not ? please suggest.

when i tried link was seen standard vCenter version .But there are three version available .which one i should down load. My current version is vCenter 5.0 . should i select to download 5.1.0a or 5.1.0b 0r .U1a .

we are running with vCenter 5.0 standard version .Now i am planning to upgrade to vCenter 5.1 ,when i tried to down load vcenter 5.1 standard ,its not available in VMware site. shall i down load any vCenter and can assign standard licence or need to download only vCenter standard 5.1

we are planning to upgrade vcenter from 5.0 to 5.1 in our production environment.

i am worried about how to start what are the steps need to follow ,pre check ,after check ,what are the data base needed .i do not have any test environment.

Could you please suggest me any one how and where to start and how to end
