This didn't help me. still browser won't remember bookmarks nor any other setting I changed.

after inserting these registry keys into dem , is there anything else needs to be done?

try disabling directflex or change the chrome executable path in directflex. Becuase the default one that comes with the chrome template is usually wrong,
