Hi @burgerking68,

That looks like a bug. The When updating drivers for an existing connection dropdown in the Point and Print Restrictions policy setting used to have three options in older versions of the Printing ADMX template, but now only has two.

I guess your ADMX-based setting was defined using the old templates, with the third option (Do not show warning or elevation prompt) selected, and you have since updated the templates to newer versions. (It seems that Microsoft updated the templates last June.)

The Management Console is unable to match the third option as defined in the ADMX-based setting with the options available in the ADMX template. It should handle such a situation in a more robust manner; we'll work on that. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

A quick workaround would be to temporarily go back to the old Printing ADMX template, and edit your ADMX-based setting. Happy to do that for you, if you prefer; just send me the ADMX-based settings configuration file (here or in a private message.)

Hello everyone, we have a problem configuring an ADMX file: we want to adjust the values for Point-and-Print in the corresponding ADMX file (under Control-Panel \ Printers \ Point and Print Restrictions) but then we always get the following error message :

We have to adjust this value because of an upcoming print server migration. This value is / was (as you can also see) "Enabled" before. In the current status, however, we cannot change this.

Does one of you have an idea? Thank you in advance!

Then we were able to make the adjustments in the live system again.
