I have updated the latest Windows 11 DEV build to 23570 and installed over the previous version in 17.5.

However the VM tools show "modify" or "remove" or "reinstall" required and as so are not accessible.

I then installed Windows version 23570 as stand alone, and then reinstalled the tools over & over again from scratch and same problem .The vm tools show no installation error but are not visible as an active live option via the "Manage" function .

Is this a fault of this new 17.5 version ?

Any advice please

What version of VMware Tools? v12.3 is the most recent one. If that isn't the one included w/ Workstation Pro 17.5, you could try installing the newer version of VMware tools package directly from VMware, and see if it yields the same result.
