Hello All, I have VMWare workstation running on a 56CPU / 128GB Ram, 3500MB/s NVME Dual Processor Xenon Machine with host running a clean copy of Windows 11 with all updates.

I'm running VMWare Workstation 16.2.

When I open a Windows 11 VM, running Windows Task Manager's Performance tab ON THE HOST, I've noticed that during VM boot, the host CPU usage is very low, about 10% - 20%.

The Disk usage of the disk hosting the booting VM is about 1% or 0%. Very, very, very low.

The VM boots incredibly slowly considering all the host resources available. Although the VM runs fine once booted, it seems that the VM is regulated down to use only a tiny faction of the hardware resources available on the host.

Host which is an HP z840 has no errors and no problems.

Is there some sort of resource limiter put into VMWare workstation by default?
