moving vmware workstation pro 17 files to another computer can't get permission

I have a Workstation Pro 17 windows 10 vm I tried to move to another computer via ssd flash drive, but the second computer will not allow me to have access to the file with permission error. I can not change Permission on the files on destination computer or even copy them to other computer. Did I miss something or is there a Windows issues going on. note: Admin on both windows 10 computer. Basically can not take Ownership of the files once put them on the flash drive at the destination computer.

Guessing its something very simple I missed either in windows or vm.

note: just copied vm from source pc to portable flash drive to move to destination computer.

Was the VM shut down (not just suspended) when you copied the files?

Did you check to see if the files on the 2nd computer somehow got flagged as read-only?
