Hi. Thanks for the reply.

Well, I increased RAM to theoretically 24 GB. And it did improve in relation to 12 GB.

But, it seems to me I would need to increase more.

But which settings coould I increase on the VM to be able to increase memory without getting that "Not enough physical memory" message? Is there a way to do it with my virtual Windows XP system?

On the other hand, I was thinking on installing a WVista machine, as it seems the newest system in which this Programa can run well.

But, do you know how much better I can run in Vista?. Which are the limitations for it?

Thanks for your attention and regards again.

Hi all.

I'm using this VM Player tool for playing the Vintage Flight Simulator 98 in a new computer under a Windows XP VM.

It works quite well in normal conditions, but when I load it with some traffic, I have these issues with textures.

(Black áreas (CAPTURE 2) instead of normal textures (CAPTURE 1), when the amount of aircraft increase).

My PC config is this one, in case it matters. (PC CONFIG)

And the Configuration I have right now for the VM is the following. (VM MEMORY CONFIG)

(I had started with just 12 GB under recommended 13.4 GB, and then I increased it to 24 GB, and things improved, but not enough, as I still keep on having issues.

And when I try to increase more, then the system says: (NOT ENOUGH MEMORY)

So the question is: What could I do to increase Guest memory, as it seems it allows me to have a better performance with my game?

P.S: I also saw that the GUEST SCREEN CONFIG states “Textures Acceleration not Available”. Could this have something to do with the problem?. Is there a way to enable this?

Thanks and regards.

Umm... Unless you are running the 64-bit version of XP, it was 32-bit and really can't use more than 4 GB of RAM. You might want to attempt to increase the video ram.
