Win11 host. popos client. Ctrl left click disables keyboard and mouse input

If at anytime I ctrl click while inside the VM I cannot input with a keyboard or mouse anymore. Both still work in the Host OS. I can manually connect either the keyboard or the mouse to the VM but then I lose access to those things on the Host. Any help would be appreciated.

A little more information.

I uninstalled VMWare player and then installed VMWare pro and am not experiencing the same difficulty.
