    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello.&amp;nbsp; I did experience the same issue.&amp;nbsp; What I did to avoid getting the error was, first, on the master image, create a snapshot.&amp;nbsp; Then, export it as an OVF template. Finally, on a different VCenter, deploy OVF Template, using all the files created when the VM was export it as an OVF.&amp;nbsp; The process finished successfully.&amp;nbsp; Creating the snapshot, first, did make the difference.&amp;nbsp; Didn't need to disable any service nor use putty nor to use ovftool.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Im trying to setup Horizon for the first time and am at the point in the instructions (&lt;A href="https://techzone.vmware.com/creating-optimized-windows-image-vmware-horizon-virtual-desktop#1150983" title="https://techzone.vmware.com/creating-optimized-windows-image-vmware-horizon-virtual-desktop#1150983"&gt;Creating an Optimized Windows Image for a VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop | VMware&lt;/A&gt; ) where it had me create my master image, download it as an OVF template, delete the image, and then redeploy it.&amp;nbsp; This is labeled "Export the VM to Adjust Disk Size"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;H3&gt;&lt;/H3&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;When I go to deploy the OVF template I get an error stating:&lt;BR /&gt;"Failed to deploy OVF package.&amp;nbsp; ThrowableProxy.cause A general system error occured: Transfer failed: Invalid response code: 500."&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;I cant seem to find any description on what this error code corresponds to or what steps to take next to try and correct it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

The problem I see is importing ovf template can be problematic in some cases so I try not to do anything like that.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I found a solution \ work-around. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you are seeing the sihost.exe error after running the OOBE generalization process...revert back to a snapshot before the finalization step &amp;gt; go to system configuration &amp;gt; services tab &amp;gt; hide all Microsoft services &amp;gt; Disable All &amp;gt; Finalize&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper" image-alt="pastedImage_0.png"&gt;&lt;img src="https://communities.vmware.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/22008iBD7E6CD7CD4A8933/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="pastedImage_0.png" alt="pastedImage_0.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This got me past the sihost.exe error mentioned above.&amp;nbsp; After I got back into the desktop after completing the setup I just reversed the instructions above and re-enabled the services and then&amp;nbsp; upload the VM to create my data pool.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;FYI...when you go to turn the services back up...uncheck one service and then the "Enable All" button will no longer be greyed out.&amp;nbsp; I unchecked one service, hit enable all, apply...then unchecked another service, hit enable all, and apply...just to make sure everything was back on.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this might help someone else.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello.&amp;nbsp; I did experience the same issue.&amp;nbsp; What I did to avoid getting the error was, first, on the master image, create a snapshot.&amp;nbsp; Then, export it as an OVF template. Finally, on a different VCenter, deploy OVF Template, using all the files created when the VM was export it as an OVF.&amp;nbsp; The process finished successfully.&amp;nbsp; Creating the snapshot, first, did make the difference.&amp;nbsp; Didn't need to disable any service nor use putty nor to use ovftool.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
