We enforce smart card logins into our VDI environment, and we use Dell 5070 thinOS clients with Win10 1803 instant clones and vGPU.

We have a handful of users that run into smart card issues when they lock their session and try to unlock their session the smart card isn't read by the clients and they need to reboot the client. Looking at the debug logs I see this right around the time the user tried to re-login to their session:

2019-04-23T11:04:51.289-04:00 DEBUG (0F00-1FD8) <8152> [pcoip_mfw] CB channel Smart Card Virtual Channel close pending

2019-04-23T11:04:51.289-04:00 DEBUG (0F00-1FD8) <8152> [pcoip_mfw] CB channel Smart Card Virtual Channel closed

2019-04-23T11:04:51.289-04:00 DEBUG (0F00-1D28) <vchanRecvThread> [pcoip_mfw] pcoip_vchan_recv FAILED result -514

2019-04-23T11:04:51.290-04:00 DEBUG (0F00-1D28) <vchanRecvThread> [pcoip_mfw] channelThread STOP for channel Smart Card Virtual Channel

2019-04-23T11:04:51.290-04:00 DEBUG (08F4-06D4) <MessageFrameWorkShare> [wsnm_scredir] got channel state change response

2019-04-23T11:04:51.300-04:00 DEBUG (08F4-1388) <5000> [wsnm_scredir] Stop of virtual channel Smart Card Virtual Channel

2019-04-23T11:04:51.300-04:00 DEBUG (08F4-0134) <MessageFrameWorkShare> [wsnm_scredir] got register final response channel: Smart Card Virtual Channel

2019-04-23T11:04:51.300-04:00 DEBUG (0F00-1878) <SharedMemReaderThread> [pcoip_mfw] Channel Smart Card Virtual Channel ABORTED

2019-04-23T11:04:51.300-04:00 DEBUG (08F4-0134) <MessageFrameWorkShare> [wsnm_scredir] pcoip_mfw outofproc channel closed

2019-04-23T11:04:51.301-04:00 DEBUG (0F00-1878) <SharedMemReaderThread> [pcoip_mfw] service: remove virtual channel Smart Card Virtual Channel

2019-04-23T11:04:51.301-04:00 DEBUG (0F00-1878) <SharedMemReaderThread> [pcoip_mfw] remove of pcoip_mfw Smart Card Virtual Channel

2019-04-23T11:04:51.301-04:00 DEBUG (0F00-1878) <SharedMemReaderThread> [pcoip_mfw] stop of virtual channel Smart Card Virtual Channel

2019-04-23T11:04:51.301-04:00 DEBUG (0F00-1878) <SharedMemReaderThread> [pcoip_mfw] remove of pcoip_channel Smart Card Virtual Channel

This doesn't happen all the time, but consistently enough that it's becoming a burden.
