    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to use the Helpdesk function of Horizon, in particular the Remote Assistance function. We have a fairly complicated network setup with the view desktops on a private LAN, the connection servers on a production LAN public IP range and and connections to desktops being served via an F5 appliance.Then my desktop that i want to do the remote assistance from is on another public IP range. I am looking to see which ports i need to get opened in the firewall. I found a Microsoft article which says the following but does it really need every TCP port higher than 1024 opening?? Not sure my network guy will handle that well!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #000000; font-family: 'Segoe UI', SegoeUI, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;"&gt;Remote assistance relies on full network connectivity between the expert user's computer and the novice user's computer over the following network ports:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;TCP port 135&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;TCP port 3389&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;All TCP ports that are greater than 1024&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #000000; font-family: 'Segoe UI', SegoeUI, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;"&gt;If port filtering exists for any of these ports between the two computers, Remote Assistance will not work.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
