    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Settings&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Fusion 12.1.1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-&amp;nbsp;Mac Big Sur Version 11.2.3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-&amp;nbsp;CentOS Linux 7&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Issue&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-&amp;nbsp;Failed to share folder with Mac.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- The folder&amp;nbsp;/mnt/hgfs/ is empty on starting the virtual machine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Similar issue:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Fusion-Discussions/Shared-folders-no-longer-showing-up-in-guest-OS-Ubuntu-16-04/td-p/509366" target="_blank"&gt;https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Fusion-Discussions/Shared-folders-no-longer-showing-up-in-guest-OS-Ubuntu-16-04/td-p/509366&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Current workaround&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- I am using the same solution posted in&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Fusion-Discussions/Shared-folders-no-longer-showing-up-in-guest-OS-Ubuntu-16-04/td-p/509366" target="_blank"&gt;https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Fusion-Discussions/Shared-folders-no-longer-showing-up-in-guest-OS-Ubuntu-16-04/td-p/509366&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;. Running the command `&lt;SPAN&gt;vmhgfs-fuse` seems to fix the issue properly.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Question&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Seeing that I'm on the latest fusion 12 + latest VMWare tools, I am wondering if there is a better way to fix this at the moment.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you for having a look!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
