Excuse me if wrong post "location", there are zillions of options and no time ...

I have a vmware support contract, so, in theory, I should be able to find and download ovftool, but.... the search gives me tons of unwanted results, but no download link.

Any help ?

This was the first Google result for "download ovftool" - hopefully it works for you: https://code.vmware.com/web/tool/4.4.0/ovf
