IMHO there's no need to apply that update/patch to your current vCenter Server instance.

Hello together,

our Vcenter (currently 8.0b) notified me of a new available Update today. This being the Version 8.0c (8.0.0.10300 Build 21457384). But the corresponding Release Notes for this patch say:

VMware vCenter Server 8.0c Release Notes serves as a vehicle for the VMware vSphere with Tanzu Release Notes and does not deliver vCenter Server fixes.

We do not have/use Tanzu, so the question is: Does it make sense to install it in an environment without Tanzu? I am a bit unsure, since I don't think we ever got an update of Vcenter without either fixed issues or rarely new features.

It does not make sense to me to install an update that essentially does nothing, just so the blue notification in the webclient goes away.

Thanks for any advice.

Always recommend N+1 version , if it is not needed of running infra you can ignore it
