I have made a copy (with ESXRanger) of a monolithic file and I want to convert it to COW files for use inf VMware Workstation. I kno in ESX I have the possibility with vmkfstools but I want to be able to use my disaster recouvery files when a disaster has occured. Disaster meens no ESX but only my laptop with VMware workstation.

I tried VM importer 1 and 2 beta - no succes. Diskmount utility - no success.

Maybee a usefull option for VM Importer 2 ??

Is there a way to do this ??

I will port this also in the ESX forum as a ESX question !!
