App Volumes stores the user DN value in the 'Users' database table. When an user is moved from one OU to another OU, the user's DN value in the AD will change. Due to this, App Volumes can have trouble in finding the user. To resolve, the 'Users' database table needs to be updated with the new DN value.

Please read this blog that explains this problem in detail.

App Volumes AD Objects Move Issue - VMware Consulting Blog - VMware Blogs

Go to Start > SQL Server Management Studio.

Click File, and then click Connect to Server.

Type the App Volumes Manager database name, and type the database login credentials.

Click Connect. You are connected to the database.

Once connected, you can edit the "distinguished_name" for the affected AD Group in the table 'dbo.groups'. Otherwise, you can edit the "distinguished_name" for the affected AD User in the table 'dbo.users'.
