Hello,

I recently got a compellent. We already have multiple Equallogic's

We have got esxhosts with 10GB nic's (2 per server, splitted into 8 with npar).

Untill i got the compellent i had the esxhosts configured:

1 vds, 2x 10gb uplink 2x vmk port (port binding)
1 vds for guest initiators 1x 10gb uplink (portgroup per customer)

and another:

1 vds for guest initiators 1x 10gb uplink (portgroup per customer)

this way i have multipathing for everything

Now i got a compellent, which is in a different pVlan.

is it supported to just add extra portgroups to the "vmware" vds with the 2x 10gb and bind those portgroups to certain vmnic's

Or do i need to create a separate vds for the compellent iscsi connections?

Regards

Hans
