      <title>msinfo32 and device manager show different cpu count in win 2008 R2 guest OS</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Group,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This inconsistency happened only on one server running windows 2008 r2.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The device manager shows 6vCPU but the msinfo32 shows only 4.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Could you please guide me in the correct direction on how to understand this situation/issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i've checked the msconfig, and few other blogs but before i make any changes i would like to know if its designed that way in any specific combination.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kindly let me know if you need any further details to help me understand the process or issue here.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
