      <title>Solução para Hosts ESX com boot lento, quando existem discos RDM em VMs.</title>

Os boots estavam levando mais de 01 hora. Pesquisando, descobri que se no ambiente exsitem VMs que tem discos RDM e sem que a função perennially-reserved, esteja setado como True, o boot do Host ficará lento.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Então segue abaixo os procedimentos que fiz agora e que realmente deixaram o boot do Host ESX, mais rápido(em torno de 10 minutos). Estarei deixando aqui os links que usei como, fonte de pesquisa.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Como descobrir quais discos são RDMs:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Usando PowerCli, siga os passos abaixo:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1 - Acessar o vCenter: &lt;STRONG&gt;Connect-viserver "vCenter"&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2 -&amp;nbsp; Executar o comando abaixo para descobrir qual disco RDM:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Get-VM | Get-HardDisk -DiskType "RawPhysical","RawVirtual" | Select Parent,Name,DiskType,ScsiCanonicalName,DeviceName | fl&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;O resultado deverá ser assim:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;TABLE&gt;&lt;TBODY&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;Parent&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Antes faça o &lt;STRONG&gt;connect-viserver&lt;/STRONG&gt; para cada Host do seu cluster, que essas VMs estejam registradas.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt; $esxcli = Get-EsxCli&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;$esxcli.storage.core.device.setconfig($false, "naa.50002ac001913913", $true)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;$esxcli.storage.core.device.setconfig($false, "naa.50002ac001933913", $true)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;$esxcli.storage.core.device.setconfig($false, "naa.50002ac001923913", $true)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Após isso, para verificar se realmente foi setado, acessei cada host ESX via SSH e executei o comando abaixo, apontando para o &lt;STRONG&gt;ScsiCanonicalName &lt;/STRONG&gt;de cada disco RDM&lt;STRONG&gt;:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;esxcli storage core device list -d naa.50002ac001913913&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;esxcli storage core device list -d naa.50002ac001933913&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;esxcli storage core device list -d naa.50002ac001923913&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;O resultado, gera várias variáveis, mas a que alteramos é a: &lt;STRONG&gt;Is Perennially Reserved: true&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Pronto, assim temos a certeza que o procedimento ocorreu com sucesso.
