Win11 Enrolment Issues

Hi All

Long shot but has anyone experienced any issues enrolling Win11 desktops via OOBE with a WS1 profile that disables Win Hello (via XML) similar to what we setup below:

The current profile to disable Win Hello has XML code against it but has the below ticked:

If we untick this it introduces Win Hello which we don't want so need it checked for enrolment

If it remains checked we get misc. issues such as:

The “enable post-enrollment onboarding experience” doesn’t launch at startup once the hub is installed.
Is also causing a CIS policy to hang the enrolment process when ticket (or we remove CIS to counteract)

try the following:

1. use desktop app instead of store app

2. enter the following path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe

That finally solved this for me

Hi,

I am trying to add Edge as an application to DTR by using the PFN.

The tunnel reports that it cannot fine the app

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Try wih the latest patch ( 23.2.0.18). In 23.2.0.17 there is a documented bug in some parts of admin console:

After upgrading to 23.2.0.17 I cannot access the admin list (#/accounts/administrators/list-view) without receiving a message that "Page not loading. Go back to the previous page or refresh the page to try again", also occurs on Device Updates page or iOS (#/devices/updates/platform/list/ios)

Haven't noticed this anywhere else thus far.

Any suggestions?

Cannot get per app vpn tunnel to work

Hi,

I am trying to implement UAG per app VPN in cascaded mode but cannot seem to get it to work.

All tests as described in the on-line doc are green but still the tunnel won't open when I try to access internal resources.

and the tunnel connects successfully on the client

But pinging internal resources produces an error:

I can ping the ips from both the outside and the inside tunnel apps

Outside while ping is running

Inside

Any idea what I could be missing?

I don't have an ABM account but I guess so... Because they don't let non-ASM or non-ABM Apple IDs use Apple Configurator 2 anymore...

Apple has released new terms and conditions for ABM. You may need to approve them in Apple Business Manager when signing in as an Administrator.

I think you may test the iOS device enrollment by the current MDM setting. If it is OK, you should find the support of the ABM. Otherwise, you can collect the log from the device and WS1 and then open a VMWare support case.

Yes. It has worked in the past, but stopped working as of late... I am not sure if this is an iOS issue on the new version or something else

So in an effort to properly manage devices, we have had to use Apple Configurator 2 to enroll devices into Apple Business Manager and subsequently into WS1. As of late, we have been able to enroll into ABM, but the remote configuration for WS1 no longer shows on the setup pages and the iOS device does not show in Ws1. Any ideas?

Are you looking to control host or device connections, or both?

Android phones can behave as hosts (using OTG cables, usually) allowing client devices such as microphones or keyboards or docks to connect to them and offer services, or as devices, connecting to another host, such as a computer.

What sort of controls is this client wanting to have on their Android TV device? I'd imagine it is possible to manage an Android TV device, but finding out what their trying to accomplish may indicate there's other products/systems that better suit their needs.

AppStack is braking Teams Optimization

I was always in fallback mode for Teams Optimization and after A LOT of tests, i found that the problem is one particular AppStack.

How can i find what in this AppStack is causing the problem?
