Win11 Enrolment Issues

Hi All

Long shot but has anyone experienced any issues enrolling Win11 desktops via OOBE with a WS1 profile that disables Win Hello (via XML) similar to what we setup below:

The current profile to disable Win Hello has XML code against it but has the below ticked:

If we untick this it introduces Win Hello which we don't want so need it checked for enrolment

If it remains checked we get misc. issues such as:

The “enable post-enrollment onboarding experience” doesn’t launch at startup once the hub is installed.
Is also causing a CIS policy to hang the enrolment process when ticket (or we remove CIS to counteract)

Adding Edge as an application to Device Trafic Rules does not work

Hi,

I am trying to add Edge as an application to DTR by using the PFN.

The tunnel reports that it cannot fine the app

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

23.2.0.17 (2302) - Page Not Loading

After upgrading to 23.2.0.17 I cannot access the admin list (#/accounts/administrators/list-view) without receiving a message that "Page not loading. Go back to the previous page or refresh the page to try again", also occurs on Device Updates page or iOS (#/devices/updates/platform/list/ios)

Windows Server 12 R2

Haven't noticed this anywhere else thus far.

Any suggestions?

Cannot get per app vpn tunnel to work

Hi,

I am trying to implement UAG per app VPN in cascaded mode but cannot seem to get it to work.

All tests as described in the on-line doc are green but still the tunnel won't open when I try to access internal resources.

and the tunnel connects successfully on the client

But pinging internal resources produces an error:

I can ping the ips from both the outside and the inside tunnel apps

Outside while ping is running

Inside

Any idea what I could be missing?

Manually Enrolling iOS devices into WS1` via Apple Business Manager and Configurator

So in an effort to properly manage devices, we have had to use Apple Configurator 2 to enroll devices into Apple Business Manager and subsequently into WS1. As of late, we have been able to enroll into ABM, but the remote configuration for WS1 no longer shows on the setup pages and the iOS device does not show in Ws1. Any ideas?

I want to enable my managed android devices to accept usb connections only from specific devices from specific vendors and block any other usb connection. Is there a way to acheive this functionality through workspace one?

Sound stopped working on all VMs

I have been running VMWare Workstation 16 Player for a few years. I currently run three VMs (Win8,Win8, Win7), almost always only one at a time.

The other day I connected the server to a pair of bluetooth earbuds. The VM I was using played sounds over the earbuds.

When I disconnected the earbuds from the server, it correctly played sounds through the external speakers. But no sound came from any of the 3 VMs, but the sound level bar moved on the volume control, indicating there was sound. When I reconnected the earbuds, the VMs played sounds from them.

So none of the VMs sound works when the server uses the original external speakers.

I've tried all combinations of restarting the VMs and the server. I disconnected the virtual sound card and reconnected it, even though it is on a per VM basis and the problem is global to all VMs.

Does anyone have any advice on how to restore normal sound to the VMs?

Device Event Description Meanings

I'm a vmware newbie.
I'm hoping someone can point me to where I can find the descriptions of the Device Events that come up for a device. The events can be seen under the device in Troubleshooting or in Monitor and see them under Device Events.

I'm specifically looking for the meaning of a few events:
Device Attribute Device MCC Modified
Device Attribute Phone Number Modified
Device Operating System Changed

I've searched in the documentation, but cannot find anything on the meanings of the listed events.

Certificate expiration for AirWatch

We have an AirWatch tenant, and we'd like to let the certificate expire. We need to know what happens to the managed devices.....will they just not be able to be managed by AirWatch once the certificate expires or will end users have device issues once that happens?

The cert expires on 12/29 so a quick response would be appreciated.

Apply friendly name to Windows 10

Samsung Devices: 3rd Party Keyboard in work profile

has anyone been able to get the Android Accessibility Braille keyboard to work on a Samsung device in the work profile?

I followed the KB and also remove any restrictions on the device but it still doe snot give the option to use it in the work profile.

Works with out issue on the Personal Side.

I have on-prem deployed Workspace One, and we are using OMA-DM sometimes to enroll the devices, in one of my windows 11 pro I noticed that I am not able to bypass the email part in access to work or school to get the option to enter my DS server URL is there any way to do that, and when I am using the intelligent hub I am getting (enrollment certificate not found) which is strange, what could be the reason for this error?

WS1 - Report which devices are not on the lastest Windows OS?

Can anyone tell me how to configure an Intelligence report in Workspace one?

I am trying to create a report that shows all devices that do not have the latest Windows 10, version 21H2 OS installed.

There are many options that you can do that say do\don't include certain patches or build, but when selected the report will show every single other patch that is not related...

I just need to have a report that says these devices are not on Windows 10, version 21H2 OS, or does not have this build installed.

Is this possible or has anyone else found a way to do this?

USB Mic randomly does not work

Hello all.

We have Horizon for our desktops, using Linux thin clients all Version 2111. Everyone has a Dell 515 USB soundbar with a mic. My issue is my always works (Analog headset in the 3.5mm port) but some users that use the speaker and mic with no headset will sometimes not have a mic. Their solution is to unplug the usb sound bar and plug it back in and then it works. Wait a couple hours for the next call and they may have to do the same thing. We have over 250 of these sound bars so I would like to get them working and not have to replace them.

Any ideas / experiences or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I saw a post about Windows trying to put devices into low power mode which makes sense why unplugging and repluging fixes it for that call. But I am not seeing power management on the VMWare Virtual Mic. We are not using the MSTeams Optimization as the users are not technical and having to come back out to the thin client to manage the sound levels does not work for them. So we have a GPO that turns that "feature" off. We do have RTAV on so we are not redirecting USB over the WAN.

Any help is welcome.
