Is the vmware tools upgraded after vm reboot? Then it might be due to vm settings.

we have a vcloud environment where VMs are guest managed and a couple have automatically upgraded their VMWARE tools how do we find out how this happened? They also re write their hosts file which is an issue.

Minimal vmWare license to replicate virtual machines to Azure Site Recovery for vmWare

Hello,
I've like to start replication of vmWare virtual machines to Azure. For that Azure has a service called Azure Site recovery for vmWare.

What is the minimal vmWare licence or set of products that I need for it?
Eg. Would it be sufficient VMware vCenter Server Foundation ? Or do I need also another product?

I have no vmWare products now.

We are planning to migrate AWS VM's to onprem VMware Vcenter.

i have found a old KB in vmware portal

This KB says to convert the VM in AWS infra and ftp the vmx, dmdk to vcenter.

To minimise the downtime , i want to convert the VM as below Source - AWS Destination - ESXI in onprem vcenter.

Pls let me know this is possible or not ?

pls share document if any.

Hi All,

We are migrating to Exchange Online and from Boxer to MS Outlook for iOS. We have a few users that have Notebook (VMWare) and its not syncing to Outlook.

Rather that hold up the migration and troubleshoot the sync issues, I was wondering whether there was a way to export data from the NoteBook app and import into MS OneNote?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks
