VMware vCenter Orchestrator Plug-in SDK 4.2 GA Release Notes vCO Plug-in SDK | 4 Aug 2011 | Build 464971 Last Document Update: 15 Aug 2011 These release notes include the following topics: * What's New * Prior Releases of vCO Plug-in SDK * Before You Begin * Installation and Upgrade * Patches Contained in this Release * Known Issues * Resolved Issues 1.0 What's New The following improvements have been made since the Technology Preview release - Simplfied installation and configuration - Support for deployment locally on the Orchestrator server host or on a separate development host - Creation of new plug-ins from template - Online help - Improved documentation and videos 2.0 Prior Releases of vCO Plug-in SDK 4.2 The previous release was the Technology Preview release 3.0 Before You Begin - Read the Installation and Configuration Guide and view the videos - Please note that vLogBrowser uses Eclipse RSE (Remote System Explorer) to connect to vCO Server. Running FTP Server on vCO Server is a suggested way to establish connection to vLogBrowser. Note that the server daemon (dstore) does not enforce any user authentication. If you run the server daemon, any user can connect to the machine, work with the file system and run commands. Use of the server daemon on Windows systems is not recommended. 4.0 Installation and Upgrade Please refer to the Installation and Configuration Guide for detailed installation instructions. There is no upgrade path from the Technology Preview release to the GA release. Please use a rip-and-replace approach if you have an older version of this SDK installed on your system.
