PxE boots are S-L-O-W

I'm trying to use Microsoft's WDS to do PXE boots.

But it's taking literally 20 minutes to download the 167MB boot file.

This was working a-ok perfecto, but now I cannot find a cause for the slowdown.

Everything else is speedy-quick in Vmware.. but not PXE boots from a brand new Guest.

HOST: Windows XP / Vmware 6.0

Guests: Windows 2003 and "pxe boot client / no operating system"

Thx.

Against all common-sense: use

ethernet0.virtualDev = "vlance"

Must be a driver-problem with the e1000 that comes with WinPE
