How to install Tools in Solaris 10 in Workstation 5.5.4

While running Solaris 10 (installed from sol-10-u3-companion-ga.iso) in Workstation 5.5.4, I click on "Install VMware Tools..." This creates the file vmware-solaris-tools.tar.gz in the /cdrom/vmware directory.

Now what? I know this is a newbie question.

Thanks

Mike.

Copy the vmware-solaris-tools.tar.gz to your /tmp directory or some other empty directory and extract the tar file contents.

cd /tmp

tar zxvf vmware-solaris-tools.tar.gz

cd vmware-tools-distrib

./vmware-install.pl

All of this is in the documentation

Thanks, works great. What threw me was I could not find instructions for Solaris and it didn't occur to me to read the Linux instructions.
