3.0.2 Pre-Upgrade Script Error

I've inserted the 3.0.2 cdrom into 1 of my ESX 3.0.1 hosts, mounted the cdrom and ran perl /mnt/cdrom/scripts/preupgrade.pl. The error is listed below...

anyone have any ideas?

It's been noted that the script is for ESX2 upgrades only, the ESX Install & Upgrade guide fails to mention this.

thank you. so there isn't any checks and balances i can do prior to the upgrade other than making sure /tmp/vmware-root exists?

I don't think there is, I was fooled by that line in the install guide also. You might read through some of the other 3.0.2 posts to get other users experiences...
