Virtual machines are jumping all the time between the ESX server

Hi!

I have a two Vmware ESX server installed with a virtual center server. The two ESX are connected to one SAN.I have 5 virtual machines in each ESX.

I have enabled the cluster solution between the ESX with the HA,DRS and Vmware features.

Related to DRS feature configuration it´s set to manual but the problem that I have is what 3 virtual machines are moving between the two ESX all the time without any reason.

It couldn't connect to these virtual machine through the console because i only get a white screen, i thought that it is due to that the machines are moving all the time between the esx.

I don´t know what´s going on and why it only happens with only 3 virtual machines. If i restart this virtual machines after 5 minutes more or less this machines start to jumping to the 2 ESX all the time, again, without get any error o something like that.

Please, could you give how can I find what´s going on? o if it happens for any reason?.

I would appreciate if you can help me because I´m get desperate with this issue!

Thanks in advantage and I´m sorry for my english!

Have you set any additional DRS rules?

If yes try disabling them.

If not try to disable DRS completely.

No, i didn´t set any additional DRS Rules!

Related to disabled DRS completely it could fix the issue but y thing that it is not the final solution for this issue!

Thanks for your help!

I know that it isn't the final solution - but if disabling DRS completely stops the issue then

we at least know that the problem is somehow related to DRS.

What about the settings on the virtual machines themselves.

You can configure DRS at an individual VM level, have these been set to automatic?

HI!

First at all, sorry for my later answer.

Yesterday when I arrived to the job my workmate has restarted the ESX servers in order to solve this issue. After to do that , we don´t have any more problem with the virtual machines and they stop jumping.

It´s is so strange.

If i will have this problem again, i will disable the DRS in order to find out if it generates the problem.

Thanks a lot for your help!

have a nice weekend
