conver virtual machine as a template

Hi,

How do I convert Virtual machine as a template using virual infrastuture client.

I do not have any virtual center?

Also, I remember, in version 2.x, there is a vmkuage, in version 3 what command does it use to monitor.

You're not able able to create/manage templates in the VI client withhout virtualcenter -- http://www.vmware.com/community/thread.jspa?messageID=583217&#583217

Vmkusage is not availble for 3.0. You can use the performance tab on the VI client where you're connected to the ESX host to get some limited info.

As Dave said, no templates without VC.

But you could create a new VM and use it as your master template (i.e. run sysprep etc. if it's windows) and clone that VM whenever you need a new VM.
