Easy one, first one on the list is probably your best bet. VMWare server runs on X, the second link on that page gives you the management tools for that server version.
Hmm. I would have thought that if I got the first download for windows that I'd want the 3rd on the list for the linux 'guest'. Am I wrong and you right? I'm closer than where I was anyway.
No the linux client is for installing into a linux os to enable remote access/management to a vmware server / guest os.
So deffinately the first two you want although you only need the client if you want to access the guest o/s from another machine really and when you are on the machine running the vmserver you can directly access the guest o/s through the gui anyway.
ISD is correct, you'll only want the 3'rd download if you intend to manage your Guest OS's from another Linux box somewhere, otherwise use the second to manage them from a Windows Host.
The stuff you'll need to install inside your Linux guests is the VMWare tools sets, those will be one of the options in the VMWare Server GUI once you create the guests. Here are some instructions on the Tools install for Linux.
Directions are for Workstation 5.5 but are pretty much valid for installing VMWare tools from all the products
