Could be because of something causing an stun on the vCenter VM. Is your machine working properly now?

NMI Wactchdog is a a service in charge of monitoring hardware status.
I've seen this error in the past when CPU or memory can not be resolved and we see very high contention (CPU ready / memory ballonign) causing CPU softlocks.

Can you check CPU ready/memory ballooning on your vCenter?
Also, how many CPU's does your host have? How many are you consuming?
