Cannot save virtual machine

I had to reinstall Fusion 11 and now I can't install Windows from the iso file.

I can only go as far as "save the virtual machine" then I get the following messages (in that order):

- Could not open /dev/vmmon: Broken pipe

- Failed to initialize monitor device

- Transport (VMDB) error -14: Pipe connection has been broken

Any ideas?

What version of macOS are you running on?

Maybe https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/80467 will help.

Thanks, but it didn't work.

I didn't even see the error message that's supposed to be under the General tab in Security & Privacy.

Have you rebooted your mac already? If not try that, sometimes that seems to be needed.

If that doesn't help, try a re-install.

Drag the VMware Fusion icon from the Applications folder to the bin. Let it uninstall, reboot, install again.

Thanks, but that's the first thing I did. It didn't work.
