Few VMs marked as invalid upon creation

Hi,

When trying to create a set of VMs programmatically or through a script, few VMs are marked as invalid in the vCenter.

This error message is seen in the events list:

"One or more configuration files for the virtual machine cannot be found"

Possible cause:

The datastore on which this virtual machine resides may be inaccessible.

However other VMs are also present in the same datastore and are created successfully.

Has anyone faced this issue before? I would appreciate any pointers on this issue.

Thanks,

Priya

Hey, hope you are doing fine:

If if you go to the datastore and browse files: do VM files appear?

Hi,

Yes, the VM files do exist in the datastore.
