Ii Am trying to convert from xn linux vm guess to esxi vm guess

I run vm vonvertor from windows as admin but get error

Hey franco2020​,

At which stage are you facing issues? If you are trying to run the converter with the default options take into account that Converter will deploy a Linux Helper VM which needs to have connectivity with the source VM and the Converter Standalone Server.

See the image below to check which ports needs to be open:

Also if you do not specify an IP manually on the "Helper VM network" properties on the last step it will try to get using DHCP and if you do not have one on the network you are deploying it, it will definitively fail.

The log snippet you mention in the first post is not the error your are looking for. 98% means reconfig stage; converting a Linux source means the information should be in the helper log.

Export the log bundle from the failed conversion and attach it in the thread. If you are concerned with posting logs in public, find the helper log (buried deep inside several zips) and have a look there.
