remotesyslog_server_powercli

hi Luc,

below is the screenshot wherein remotesyslog server is configured as per below ip .

is it possible to check for how many days it will retain the logs .

as per my understanding this setting is something configured internal to remote host and can not be found from esxi side .is that correct???

Yes, you have to check the settings on the syslog server itself.

On most Linux system that config is /etc/rsyslog.conf.

You could use the cmdlets in the Posh-SSH module, provided SSH is allowed, to change the configuration remotely.

You don't really need the root account, just an account with the correct permissions.
Besides logging in to the rsyslog server, I don't know if there any other possibilities.

Even to use Invoke-VMScript you would need a Guest account with the correct permissions.
