vcenter 6.7 -> 7.0 upgrade is stuck

We are migrating from vcenter 6.7 to 7.0.

Stage one completed without any issues, stage two seems to be stuck on Starting VMware Performance Charts...

Performance charts on the old and new vcenters don't seem to be showing any activity indicating data transfer between vcenters.

Is there another way to check if the transfer is still going? We have been looking at this screen for over 30 min

Thanks

When you are upgrading or migrating , do not select the option to keep historical data as I have seen upgrades get stuck trying to import years of old performance data that I feel is not needed in most scenarios. Select either second option or first option it will go well without issue.

Note for other users checking this thread, there is a pre-check issue with this same upgrade:

vecs-cli failed. Error 4312

And the user has posted another thread, likely to be on the same issue:

Error while replacing Machine SSL Cert, please see certificate-manager.log

Hi nettech1

Please login to the ner vcsa and see youa are able to see the inventory.

Sometimes the on the gui the installation will remain in stuck or hung state but at the background the installation completes.

No, new vcsa isn't available on 443, but I can get in on 5480 and I am presented with a getting started page

vCenter Server 7.0 has been successfully installed. However, additional steps must be completed before it is available for use. Click one of the links below to continue setup.
